Position Details

Requirements

• F.Sc MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology)
• 3+ years experience in relevant field preferred
• Valid PMDC registration for MLT
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
• Proficiency in diagnostic testing procedures
• Experience with laboratory equipment
• Quality control and assurance knowledge
• Computer skills for data entry
• Ability to work in biosafety environment

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests
• Process and analyze clinical specimens
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Ensure quality control in testing procedures
• Prepare reagents and solutions for testing
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation
• Follow biosafety and infection control protocols
• Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
• Assist in laboratory accreditation processes
• Support research and surveillance activities
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
• Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste
• Participate in external quality assessment programs
• Train junior laboratory staff
• Collaborate with epidemiology and surveillance teams
