NIH Islamabad is hiring a Senior Microbiologist for PHLN employment in Gilgit-Baltistan under the IDSR project. The role focuses on microbiological research, biostatistical analysis, and disease surveillance in high-altitude regions. Candidates must have MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Public Health (microbiology major) and at least 5 years of experience.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent recognized by PMDC
- Postgraduate qualification in Epidemiology and Biostatistics OR Public Health with microbiology major
- Valid PMDC registration
- Minimum 5 years post-Masters experience
- Strong background in biostatistics and data analysis
- Experience in microbiological research
- Knowledge of high-altitude disease patterns
- Proficiency in statistical tools like SPSS, R, STATA
- Leadership and communication skills
- Physical fitness for high-altitude environment
Responsibilities
- Design microbiological studies with biostatistical focus
- Perform advanced statistical analyses
