NIH Islamabad is hiring Surveillance Officers for AJK region under IDSR/PHLN project. Preference will be given to residents of AJK. MBBS required with FELTP course preferred.
Requirements
- MBBS or Equivalent qualification
- Preference to candidates with FELTP Course (short or long)
- Valid PMDC registration
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions
- Knowledge of disease surveillance systems
- Computer proficiency for data entry
- Willingness to travel within AJK region
Responsibilities
- Conduct disease surveillance activities in AJK region
- Monitor outbreak detection and response operations
- Collect and analyze surveillance data from health facilities
- Coordinate with district health authorities in AJK
- Prepare weekly and monthly surveillance reports
- Investigate disease outbreaks and epidemics
- Conduct active case finding in communities
- Train health workers on surveillance protocols
- Maintain cold chain for specimen transport
- Ensure timely reporting to national level
- Support immunization campaign activities
- Participate in field epidemiology investigations
- Liaise with provincial health department AJK
