Required Qualification
Candidates must possess:
- LLB degree from an HEC-recognized university
- Preference will be given to candidates with LLM from a recognized institution
Experience Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 8 years experience in banking or financial institutions
- Experience in corporate law, banking litigation, and regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of banking laws and legal frameworks
Candidates with experience working with SBP regulations and banking courts will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will perform the following responsibilities:
Legal Representation
- Represent the bank before Supreme Court, High Courts, Banking Courts, and other legal forums
- Handle litigation matters and legal proceedings
Litigation Management
- Manage and supervise complex litigation cases
- Coordinate with legal teams and external legal advisors
Legal Documentation
- Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and legal opinions
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulatory requirements
- Provide legal advice to management regarding legal matters
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the legal litigation unit
- Manage internal legal teams and coordinate with external counsels
