Position Details
IT and Data Specialist Jobs 2026 are available at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Government of Pakistan. Requirements
- Relevant BS/BE/Bachelor's qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Systems Engineering, Data Science, Information and Communication Technology, Computing or another listed related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience is required.
- The maximum age limit is 52 years.
- Candidates should have strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Candidates should have knowledge of programming languages including Python, Java or PHP and web development.
- Candidates should understand programming, databases and software development.
- Candidates should be familiar with LAN/WAN networking, firewalls, routers and switches.
- Candidates should have experience with MS Office, antivirus software and backup solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a data repository for the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination.
- Provide technical leadership for climate-related data management, policy implementation and environmental monitoring.
- Manage and maintain ministry IT infrastructure, systems and digital solutions.
- Oversee IT inventory, procurement and software and hardware licensing.
- Provide advisory and implementation support for e-governance objectives.
- Establish and maintain local server infrastructure and network policies.
- Upgrade and maintain the ministry website and upload project reports, maps and promotional material.
- Maintain e-office, official email and task-monitoring systems as required.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
