Position Details

SOC Analyst L1 Jobs 2026 are available at the National Telecommunication and Information Security Board (NTISB), Government of Pakistan. The positions are offered on a contract basis under PPS-7 for cybersecurity professionals with experience in security operations, SIEM monitoring and incident handling.

The selected candidates will continuously monitor security alerts and logs, perform initial incident triage, investigate phishing reports, collect evidence, perform basic remediation, escalate confirmed incidents and monitor security sensors. Candidates need a 16-year bachelor’s qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or a related field and at least 4 years of experience, including 2 years of recent SOC Analyst experience.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with 16 years of education in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience as a SOC Analyst is required.
  • The maximum age limit is 35 years.
  • Certifications in incident handling, SOC operations or offensive security are preferred.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of SIEM-based security monitoring and incident triage.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor security alerts and logs through SIEM platforms.
  • Perform initial alert triage to distinguish genuine incidents from false positives.
  • Document findings and create incident tickets.
  • Review user-reported phishing emails and analyse headers, links and attachments.
  • Perform basic remediation actions such as resetting compromised passwords or isolating endpoints.
  • Collect preliminary evidence and enrich data for validated alerts.
  • Escalate confirmed or complex incidents to Tier 2 analysts.
  • Monitor the health and status of security sensors.
  • Review scheduled vulnerability scans.
  • Maintain shift handover reports and pending incident information.
