Position Details

Requirements
- A Master’s degree or 16 years of education in Business Administration or a relevant field is required, or relevant professional accounting qualifications such as CA Intermediate, ACMA, ACCA or M.Com.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management and reporting is required.
- Experience supporting multi-stakeholder development projects is required.
- Experience preparing annual budgets, work plans and periodic financial reports is an advantage.
- Experience reviewing Statements of Expenditure and handling audits is an advantage.
- Excellent report writing skills are required.
- The maximum age limit is 45 years.
Responsibilities
- Support overall project financial management.
- Review Partner Organizations’ Statements of Expenditure and supporting documents.
- Prepare financial reports, Budget versus Actual reports and fund utilization forecasts.
- Support preparation of financial statements and financial closure processes.
- Conduct quarterly field-level reviews of Statements of Expenditure.
- Maintain financial records and support payments and disbursements.
- Upload financial data into accounting software.
- Ensure appropriate withholding and timely deposit of taxes.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Support reconciliation with EAD, AGPR, donor records and financial reports.
- Support donor fiduciary reviews and internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with government departments, Partner Organizations, auditors and donors.
- Support financial orientation and capacity building for Partner Organization staff.
- Maintain financial filing and documentation systems.
