The Head of AI will lead implementation, coordination and operational management of the National AI Innovation Hub (NAIIH) and other AI-related initiatives undertaken by Ignite.
The position reports to the GM Projects and is responsible for programme execution, stakeholder coordination, project governance and achievement of approved AI ecosystem objectives.
The position will review technical architectures, solution designs, infrastructure enhancements and major change requests related to AI programmes.
The role will coordinate with MoITT, government entities, development partners, academia, industry and ecosystem participants.
The maximum age limit is 55 years.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related discipline is required.
- The qualification must be from a recognized institution.
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in design, procurement or implementation of large-scale digital systems is required.
- Demonstrated leadership of national-scale digital platforms or programmes is required.
- Experience with national digital infrastructure programme design and procurement specifications is required.
- Experience involving AI, HPC or data platforms will be relevant.
- Experience with managed-service or vendor-delivered programmes and SLA governance is required.
- The maximum age limit is 55 years.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation, coordination and operational management of the National AI Innovation Hub and related AI initiatives.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for AI infrastructure and ecosystem programmes.
- Oversee programme delivery and the performance of operators, vendors, consultants and implementation partners.
- Provide technical oversight of AI compute infrastructure, AI platforms and data repositories.
- Review technical architectures, solution designs and infrastructure enhancements.
- Support foundation models, Urdu and regional-language AI capabilities and AI-as-a-Service offerings.
- Contribute to AI governance, security controls, data management and compliance frameworks.
- Coordinate with government, industry, academia and development partners.
- Provide technical and strategic inputs to senior management.
- Support procurement and contract-management activities.
- Prepare programme reports, technical briefings, risk assessments and recommendations.
- Lead and develop the AI programme team.
